T minus 48 days!

In just 48 short days, Joel and I will be boarding our flight in Chicago destined for Frankfurt, Germany (or shall we say Deutschland?). Our first stop will be anywhere they serve ginormous soft pretzels :) We will then transfer airports and continue on to Dublin, Ireland. We'll sleep off a little jet lag, grab a car and drive on the opposite side of the road through the Irish countryside, making our way to Galway and the breathtaking Aran Islands! I am especially excited to rent some bikes from my buddy, Dangerous Dave, and show Joel the sites of Inishmore. From there, we will continue our drive along the west coast of Ireland stopping for a night in the Dingle Peninsula and a night in Ardmore (where I will convince Joel that our firstborn son will be named Declan). On April 22nd we will board our flight in Dublin that will take us to Heidi and Roger in Budapest. Hopefully Heidi and Roger won't take it personally when I get off the plane with a tear-stained face after leaving my beloved Ireland! Nevertheless, I will be SO excited for the 10 days to follow...Hungary, Austria and Italy, oh my! It is sure to be a road trip adventure like no other.
